The global marine food system is profoundly unjust. Human rights abuses and Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing persist unchecked; production often comes at the expense of ocean health, and corporate concentration funnels wealth and nutritious food away from the communities that need them most.
Through innovative interventions, I4OA works to reset the food system’s governing values and rules to uphold the right to food by advancing equitable access, supply-chain accountability, and human well-being across seafood webs.
